The Good Companions always book Lodge Coaches for their trips, so were not slow to go, possibly - just possibly - because there were also free cream teas on offer.  Doubtless, Tony Fewell, Rose and Eric Lodge will vigorously maintain this to be a slur.

One of the coaches available for hire is this vintage one, renovated and capable of driving anyone back to the 1950s.

Here, Chris Lodge proudly advertises next year's grand trip to New Zealand and Fiji.  Although not going that far, I have booked for one of their shorter trips in 2004.

I see there's a red button.  Let's hope it isn't labelled EJECT . . .
