On 10th & 11th November 2003, Lodge Coaches opened their garages to the public.  They will again be opening on 9th & 10th Nov. 2004

The Good Companions always book Lodge Coaches for their trips, so were not slow to go, possibly - just possibly - because there were also free cream teas on offer.  Doubtless, Tony Fewell, Rose and Eric Lodge will vigorously maintain this to be a slur.

The jam was of course that of Wilkin's of Tiptree.

One of the coaches available for hire is this vintage one, renovated and capable of driving anyone back to the 1950s.

The real purpose of the open day was to show the world the numerous day trips and coach tours which this Company has on offer.

Here, Chris Lodge proudly advertises next year's grand trip to New Zealand and Fiji.  Although not going that far, I have booked for one of their shorter trips in 2004.

Their newest coach has every mod. con., even for the driver.  What a wonderful array of buttons - and they're only to control his seat.

I see there's a red button.  Let's hope it isn't labelled EJECT . . .
